Principles and Practice

The Cadiz Foundation has a social change and sustainability agenda. Funding will be undertaken on a selective basis to high impact, sustainable social development initiatives. Foundation activities will exclude staff bursaries, staff training development, and commercial sponsorships.

Recognising its limitations in social development practice, the Cadiz Foundation will work with GreaterCapital (part of the GreaterGood group) to ensure that appropriate expertise are implemented in the sourcing, screening and selection of projects. GreaterCapital will also provide appropriate levels of monitoring, evaluation and regular performance report backs to the Foundation.

The decision making for funding will, however, be the function of the Cadiz Foundation Trustees upon presentation of eligible projects that have undergone due diligence by GreaterCapital, as appropriate to the size and type of project.

The Foundation will assess the outcomes of its giving activities on an annual basis and will communicate the benefits and results of its activities to all employees, stakeholders and interested parties through its annual report and website.
